Network Engineer

Overview

The applicant will be responsible for overseeing all network engineering related aspects of the contract and shall have demonstrated expertise in overall network engineering concepts and processes. Experience shall include designing, building, integrating, testing, and maintaining network and computing infrastructure; analyzing alternatives; validating system performance; and establishing cyber security certifications and/or authority to operate (ATO) for the fielding of new/modified DoD weapons systems.

Responsibilities

• The applicant will be responsible for overseeing all network engineering related aspects of the contract and shall have demonstrated expertise in overall network engineering concepts and processes.
• Experience shall include designing, building, integrating, testing, and maintaining network and computing infrastructure; analyzing alternatives; validating system performance; and establishing cyber security certifications and/or authority to operate (ATO) for the fielding of new/modified DoD weapons systems.
• Additionally, the Contractor is required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.

Skills Required

• Experience should include designing, building, integrating, testing, and maintaining network and computing infrastructure; analyzing alternatives; validating system performance; and establishing cyber security certifications and/or authority to operate (ATO) for the fielding of new/modified DoD weapons systems.
• Applicant should be proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
• Applicant must be proficient in configuration management databases/software and possess a high level of attention to detail.
• Applicant must have experience briefing senior leadership and be comfortable working with many stakeholders in an integrated environment.
• Working knowledge of DoD 5000 series desired.
• Professional certification such as a Program Management Professional (PMP, Configuration Management II Basics or Configuration Management Industry Standard, ANSI/EIA 649-B, Principles and Applications
• Understanding of software development and acquisition and strategies to integrate into DoD systems
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, Python, Java, and other platforms
• Understanding of Air Force certifications for new operating systems
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance required.

Education

Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
