USD $150,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.

Description
Markon is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support an intelligence customer.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Implement and support client access technologies including MACsec, HSRP, VRF, VPC, ACLs, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Manage firewalls, VPN concentrators, and access control policies to enhance network security.
- Work with COTS cloud platforms to integrate and optimize cloud networking solutions.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline network operations.
- Deploy and manage software-defined networking (SDN) technologies for improved scalability and efficiency.
- Utilize SIEM and security analytics tools (Splunk, pcap, NetFlow, SolarWinds, etc.) to monitor and analyze network traffic.
- Ensure compliance with customer IT security SOPs and assist in accreditation efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in network engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, routing protocols, and firewall configurations.
- Knowledge of MACsec, HSRP, VRF, VPC, ACLs, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Experience with COTS cloud platforms and network security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with SIEM and security analytical tools such as Splunk, pcap, NetFlow, and SolarWinds.
