ResiBridge designs, builds, and operates a hybrid network of fiber optic and high-capacity wireless links for multi-dwelling units (MDUs). We are pushing the limits of available technology and over-delivering lightning-fast bandwidth using equipment only previously seen on commercial buildings. ResiBridge is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) / Field Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This role is pivotal in maintaining network reliability, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance across our infrastructure. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise in networking with a proactive approach to field-based maintenance and support within New York City and its boroughs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network protocols, advanced wireless technologies, and field operations, demonstrate a proven ability to resolve complex technical challenges, and thrive under pressure in both collaborative and independent settings. This position requires approximately 20% travel and may involve off-hours deployments.

Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor and ensure network stability utilizing advanced tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Wireshark.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues related to routers, switches, and high-capacity wireless bridge systems.
  • Execute Linux system administration tasks and manage Docker container environments.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and incident responses.
  • Streamline operations through the development of automation scripts using Python and Bash.
  • Conduct on-site technical interventions, including:
  • Installing, upgrading, and patching network infrastructure, including OLTs, ONTs, and high-capacity wireless bridges.
  • Setting up and configuring wireless systems, including 5GHz, 24GHz, 60GHz, and 70/80GHz mmWave technologies.
  • Performing structured cabling installations and testing at data centers and customer locations.
  • Managing hardware installations, replacements, and configurations for critical network infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with vendors for on-site technical support.
  • Optimize wireless links by analyzing and configuring radio parameters, including channel capacity, frequency coordination, and beam alignment.
  • Remain current with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously enhance network performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations, wireless bridge systems, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in network telemetry tools (Grafana, Prometheus, rsyslog, NetBox).
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, BGP) and routing/switching concepts.
  • Expertise in wireless technologies, including 5GHz, 24GHz, 60GHz, and 70/80GHz mmWave, with a solid understanding of link optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration and containerization technologies (Docker).
  • Strong scripting skills with Python and Bash for automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and solve complex problems collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to documentation.
  • Physically capable of lifting and transporting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout New York City as needed.

Work Environment:
  • This position operates in a 24/7 NOC environment. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • This role may require occasional travel to data centers or client sites.


Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Salary Range

$85,000-$100,000 USD
