Network Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a specialization in Apple devices and their integration with wireless access points (WAPs). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ensuring seamless wireless connectivity for macOS, iOS, and other Apple devices in enterprise environments. This role involves designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting wireless networks to support Apple devices while ensuring top-tier performance and user experience.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Wireless Network Design and Maintenance:
  Design, configure, and maintain wireless networks to support Apple OS devices (macOS, iOS) in enterprise environments, ensuring reliable and efficient connectivity.
• Performance Optimization:
  Analyze and optimize the interaction between Apple OS devices and wireless access points (WAPs) to enhance wireless performance and ensure seamless connectivity.
• Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues:
  Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues related to Apple OS devices, wireless protocols, and access point configurations, ensuring minimal downtime and improved user experience.
• Collaboration with IT and Engineering Teams:
  Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement network policies, security standards, and best practices tailored to Apple OS devices in the enterprise environment.
• Wireless Network Testing and Analysis:
  Conduct regular wireless network performance testing, including site surveys, signal strength analysis, and bandwidth utilization assessments, with a focus on optimizing Apple OS devices' performance.
• Access Point Configuration and Troubleshooting:
  Configure and troubleshoot wireless access points, controllers, and related networking equipment to ensure seamless Apple OS operations and enhance overall network reliability.
• Monitoring and Log Analysis:
  Monitor and analyze network logs to detect and address wireless performance or connectivity bottlenecks, ensuring stable and high-performance network conditions for Apple devices.
• Continuous Learning and Innovation:
  Stay updated on advancements in Apple OS technologies and wireless solutions, and proactively recommend system improvements and innovative solutions to enhance network performance.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps related to Apple OS and wireless system integrations for operational reference.
• Network Configuration Recommendations:
  Analyze network configurations and provide recommendations for optimization, specifically tailored to Apple OS devices' integration and connectivity.
• Real-Time Troubleshooting and Client Support:
  Provide real-time troubleshooting assistance for Apple device connectivity issues, maintaining a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.
• Configuration Templates:
  Maintain configuration templates for wireless access points to ensure standardized setups and configurations for Apple device support.
• Authentication Protocols:
  Understand and implement authentication protocols to ensure secure and seamless wireless access for Apple OS devices.

Additional Skills and Requirements:

• Knowledge of cloud-managed wireless solutions, such as Cisco Meraki or Aruba Central.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering).
• Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years in network engineering, with experience in supporting and integrating Apple devices within wireless networks.
• Management Experience: 5+ years managing or leading network teams or projects.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification preferred.

Education: Bachelors Degree
