Job Opportunity: Network Engineer
Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 24+ Months

Rate: $85-95/hr on w2

Position Overview:

Network Engineer to support the onboarding of Cloudflare's Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution. This role will serve as an onsite resident engineer, focused on implementation, user onboarding, and ongoing support for up to 17,000 users following Cloudflare software deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and onboarding of Cloudflare ZTNA for all users.
• Provide ongoing support, optimization, and troubleshooting post-deployment.
• Serve as a key liaison between customer, WWT, and OEMs to streamline onboarding and resolve technical issues.
• Assess existing Cisco IPsec VPN setup, identify access needs, applications, and security policies.
• Lead pilot testing phases to gather feedback and optimize user policies/configurations.
• Migrate users from Cisco IPsec VPNs to Cloudflare's ZTNA solution.
• Manage security policies via Cisco ASA Firewalls and Palo Alto Panorama.
• Drive change management, configuration updates, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide training and support to internal teams and end-users.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reporting to ensure proactive issue resolution.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and Palo Alto Panorama.
• Proven track record with network access control and VPN technologies.
• Experience supporting large-scale user onboarding and migrations.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and Cloudflare ZTNA preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
