Description

We are seeking a technical manager to lead our network engineering team with a vision and guidance to define and support The Company's strategy. This role will be key in designing our network and growing the skills and value of our global engineering team. Driving Standardization and Innovation in our infrastructure.

What Will You Be Involved With?
  • Develop a multi-year strategy and roadmap to manage network growth, capacity, and evolving priorities.
  • Prioritize initiatives to satisfy business requirements amongst internal improvements.
  • Manage our hardware lifecycle
  • Collaborating with internal groups to gather requirements, propose designs, implement solutions and support our global trading infrastructure. Working with project management groups to define priorities and timelines.
  • Establish and maintain robust and secure network connections between on-premise data centers and cloud, ensuring optimal performance, and high availability.
  • Take charge of implementing and overseeing automated network deployments and monitoring tools. This includes designing, configuring, and enhancing monitoring systems, and ensuring seamless operation and integration with existing network infrastructure.
  • Available at all times for issue escalation and to provide team support. Routinely work weekend and off hours to support changes outside of market hours


What Will You Bring to the Table?
  • 5+ years of managing or leading Network Engineering Operations. Trading industry experience required.
  • 10+ years of network engineering and operations experience, who has deep design, implementation and support experience
  • Experience managing many projects and workflows with changing priorities. Making use of tools like Jira / Kanban.
  • Have a relentless tenacity for solving complex technical problems
  • Experience using Python, Ansible and Jinja2 to build automations and manage the network as code.
  • Expert knowledge of: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, PIM/Multicast, MPLS
  • Experience with timing infrastructure such as GPS, PTP, PPS and NTP.
  • Experience with site to site VPNs and firewalls
  • Experience with AWS cloud networking concepts and comfortable deploying them.
  • Experience deploying and supporting multiple vendors: Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Accedian
  • Experience with operating Linux systems.
  • Passionate about high-quality work and relentlessly pursue continuous improvement.
  • Good with people and able to explain complex problems in a non-techie way for others to understand, both in writing and verbally

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with network testing tools like Spirent and Ixia for building scale model tests of network infrastructure
  • Experience building and deploying databases
  • Experience building tools and front end systems to support visualization and data mining.
  • Django web framework experience and understanding.
