We are hiring for a New Model Project Leader with a focus on stamping-related automotive manufacturing. The New Model Project Leader will manage design and factory process development for small scope and straightforward new model projects. This role involves coordinating small teams, handling standard new model flow and activities to achieve project targets, and improving manufacturing characteristics to meet department goals.
Responsibilities
The role is part of the PEX team, focused on New Model equipment development for automotive plants. The working conditions include 10% travel, 20% remote work, flexible work schedule, and on-demand presence. The environment encompasses support and manufacturing offices, factory floor, and warehouse locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Job Description
We are hiring for a New Model Project Leader with a focus on stamping-related automotive manufacturing. The New Model Project Leader will manage design and factory process development for small scope and straightforward new model projects. This role involves coordinating small teams, handling standard new model flow and activities to achieve project targets, and improving manufacturing characteristics to meet department goals.
Responsibilities
- Confirm design and coordinate with department members and EQ team per project direction for Stamping in SQCDM areas. Roll up complete department story and present to PPL using NM Standards. (30%)
- Collaborate with Design/Engineering/Business teams to ensure past model reflections and factory characteristics are reflected in the design and manufacturing process development. Utilize IMS/CRF for design changes to assure drawings are correct. (25%)
- Thoroughly understand current model issues and factory (MMC) constraints/capabilities for a smaller department. Develop expertise and build proficiency in coordination with project leadership, develop project targets, incorporating factory characteristics and business plan targets to ensure department KPI achievement. (10%)
- Manage day-to-day activities of team size production department level new model (NM) project members to achieve planned activities (SAP) and project targets. Review execution of design completion and ensure that deliverables are prepared for approval. (10%)
- Develop and maintain relationships with multiple individuals in the MMC department for requirements information, T stage activity planning, and alignment. (5%)
- Drive daily meetings and coordination with support groups and other ADC BUs (ex. PE BU). (5%)
- Serve as the communication window for Stamping on Project impacts on MMC. (5%)
- 3+ years of Project Management Experience
- Ability to present project evaluations to management
- Automotive experience (New Model Development preferred)
- Experience with stamping, project management, mechanical engineering, and automotive manufacturing
- Proficiency in CATIA, Microsoft Office, SAP, and project budgeting
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or equivalent related NM experience
- 2+ years of combined experience in manufacturing
- Skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Press and Robot constraints, budgeting process, and general department knowledge
