Summary/Objective:
In this position, you will coordinate and support all necessary actions between the IH Center of Excellence Design Office and US Suppliers, leading to streamlining and improving Build-To-Spec (BTS) product definitions, designs, and production.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to enhance our supplier relations and optimize our design and industrialization processes. This role involves direct interaction with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the seamless integration of new products and the efficient implementation of design changes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of design requirements, supply chain dynamics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with suppliers both on-site and remotely to foster strong relationships, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination with the IH Design Office.
Spearhead initiatives at supplier locations to expedite the qualification and approval processes for rapid implementation of changes.
Strategize and define processes to enhance the efficiency of New Product Introduction (NPI) and design modifications at the Design Office level.
Analyze and refine design change procedures to streamline implementation.
Collaborate with Quality, Methods, Purchasing, and planning teams to align supplier activities with overall program goals.
Facilitate the implementation of DVI PPAP with suppliers to avoid schedule setbacks.
Contribute to industrialization projects and quality initiatives, including DVIs, NPI, PFMEA, ENQAs, and audits, taking a leadership role as necessary.
Review supplier deliverables and ensure compliance with First Article Inspections (FAI) to complete qualification files according to Safran and production requirements.
Travel specifictity
Job is located in Cincinnati, OH (office) with capacity to easily travel between various supplier locations mainly in USA and in Mexico (and occasionally in Europe)
Able to travel as needed domestically and internationally between 30 and 50% of the time
Additional description
English native or close to native to communicate with suppliers/colleagues
French language skill and knowledge of the French culture will be considered a plus

Required Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Supply-chain management, Industrial management or Operations management
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 to 8 years' experience in Systems Engineering and/or Design Office in relation to production and parts development.
Project Management experience preferred.
Ability to work within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure.
Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills required with a thorough working knowledge of methods and practices (DOE, PFMEA, 8D analysis, Control Plans, Lean Manufacturing concepts, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude.
