The North American Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing the procurement team, including Senior Buyers, Strategic Buyers, and Operational Buyers. This position will lead the procurement function for North America, optimizing supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving cost-effective sourcing strategies. The North American Procurement Lead will focus on enhancing procurement processes, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiencies to meet TIME Manufacturing Company's operational and financial goals.

Summary:
The North American Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing the procurement team, including Senior Buyers, Strategic Buyers, and Operational Buyers. This position will lead the procurement function for North America, optimizing supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving cost-effective sourcing strategies. The North American Procurement Lead will focus on enhancing procurement processes, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiencies to meet TIME Manufacturing Company's operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of Senior Buyers, Strategic Buyers, and Operational Buyers to ensure effective procurement operations across North America.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals related to cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain management, to support new product development, production schedules, and overall operational needs.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on key metrics such as on-time delivery, cost savings, and quality; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage supplier risk by ensuring a diverse and reliable supplier base, developing contingency plans, and monitoring market trends.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance P2P & procurement processes, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels.
- Work with ERP and MRP systems to manage purchase orders, monitor inventory, and track supplier performance.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on procurement metrics, including supplier performance, cost savings, and procurement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field required.
- 10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing buyers or procurement teams.
- Experience in industrial goods or manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships.
- Expertise in procurement systems, including MRP and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and develop procurement teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
