At Clemens Food Group, we're looking for a dynamic Executive Director of Sales to oversee and drive growth across our Northeast Retail region. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape our sales strategy, manage key accounts, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

Location: Reside in PA, NJ, or DE

Travel: Up to 25%

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt Management

Job Description:

Lead & Inspire: Manage and mentor four Regional Sales Managers and broker partners, guiding them to drive sales and profitability for our Value Added Pork products.

Strategic Vision: Develop and execute strategic plans for key accounts including Wakefern, Acme, Weis, and more. Enhance customer relationships and drive growth across the territory.

Sales Execution: Oversee sales opportunities, coach teams on prospecting and securing large Private Brand/Own Brand deals, and manage the development of impactful sales proposals and presentations.

Performance Management: Regularly review performance metrics, ensure CRM communication, and collaborate on annual budgeting and trade plans to optimize spend efficiency.

Relationship Building: Maintain and grow existing business relationships, meet with key decision-makers, and stay ahead of market trends to identify opportunities and threats.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in retail sales at the headquarter level, with a proven record of leading successful sales teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Retail Meat industry, including Fresh, Packaged Meat, Deli, Frozen, and Prepared Foods.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in using data from IRI, Nielsen, and Perishable Group.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
