Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant - Pulmonary Vein Stenosis (PVS)/Cardiac Procedure Unit (CPU)
This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:Working with a team of other Advanced Practice Clinicians and physicians who care for inpatients and outpatients with a diagnosis of pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS). This includes consulting on admitted patients, seeing patients in the ambulatory setting, monitoring outpatient messages, planning inpatient and outpatient care coordination, and participating in evaluation of second opinions. Working with a team of other Advance Practice Clinicians on a 19-bed cardiac procedure recovery unit providing front-line care management and coordination to cardiac medical and post cardiac catheterization patients in collaboration with attending cardiologists. This Advanced Practice Clinician will assess, diagnose, develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications and interventions, interpret diagnostic testing, perform bedside procedures, and coordinate care for patients and their families. Core components include consulting and collaborating with other acute care providers and interdisciplinary team members across the institution to provide comprehensive and exceptional care to patients, from infancy to adulthood, with congenital heart disease, and facilitating patient, family and multidisciplinary team education in a family centered environment.
40 hours per week with day and evening coverage, possible up to every 3rd weekend.
To qualify, you must have:

This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

To qualify, you must have:
- Graduate from accredited Master of Physician Assistant Studies or MSN /NP or DNP Program.
- PA, PNP or FNP Board Certification
- A current license in the state of Massachusetts to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP (primary or acute care) or FNP) or Physician Assistant
- MCSR and DEA upon hire
- BLS upon hire
- PALS & ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- 1+ year of Pediatric NP experience preferred
- Will consider new graduates with a minimum of 2 years inpatient RN experience - preferably pediatric, cardiac or higher level of care (ICU/ICP/ED).
