Help Duties * You will conduct initial training required for the nuclear inspection qualification program and certifies continuing inspector, work leader and supervisory qualifications for a wide variety of basic and specialized nuclear inspector skills. * You will make decisions concerning the application of complex technical standards to actual work situations and will be faced with new situations which require deviation from past experience. * You will demonstrate the proper inspection techniques and practices, explain safety precautions to be followed when performing inspections, and provide instruction in the use of materials, measuring devices, precision instruments and safety devices. * You will maintain a variety of official records and program materials including qualification records, question banks, course evaluations, training memorandums and correspondence, training metrics, qualification reports, and policy handbooks. * You will evaluate the progress of workers in terms of such factors as interest, cooperation, and assimilation of basic fundamentals and theory. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * This position requires the ability to perform inspections in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time in standing, stooping, or crouching positions which would cause muscular fatigue or physical strains. * This position requires the ability to perform duties in areas reached by ascending or descending ladders, staging, etc. * This position requires normal color sensitivity, muscular coordination, and visual acuity. * This position may require lifting, and or carrying, generally not in excess of forty-four pounds.
