What You Will Be Doing:As a Nurse Consultant 2, you will serve on a multidisciplinary team of nurses, epidemiologists, and informaticists in the Section of Epidemiology's Infectious Disease Program. Your work may involve researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating activities for reportable diseases and conditions of interest to public health to prevent unnecessary morbidity and mortality in Alaska and to provide a basis for policy development, health planning, and allocations of resources. You will participate in tuberculosis case management, outbreak response, preparedness activities, and partnership building and maintain specialized expertise to coordinate targeted programs/activities within the Infectious Disease Program.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is located in mid-town Anchorage. Our offices overlook the Chugach Range and have abundant onsite parking in a covered parking garage. Work is mainly based in an office setting. However, there is some off-site travel to investigate outbreaks in the field and opportunities to lead a multidisciplinary investigation or response team.
