Primary responsibilities for PACU (Phase 1 & Phase 2 recovery) staff include but not limited to:
1 FTE. 40 hrs/wk (80 hrs/pay period) - days, with rotation to off shifts as needed
3+ years recent acute care PACU experience. ICU experience preferred. Previous nurse educator experience preferred.
BSN required. MSN preferred.
BLS and ACLS required. PALS preferred/required within 1 year.

- utilize evidence-based research to coordinate training and develop education programs
- facilitate professional development and ongoing learning opportunities
- support onboarding of new staff and new hire orientation
- develop educational material for patients
- act as a clinical resource
- ensure staff competence, compliance, and regulatory standards to meet organizational goals
- participate in quality and process improvement initiatives, including routine auditing
- create and revise departmental policies and procedures
