We are hiring a Nurse Manager to join our Home Health team!
  • Full Time; 8:30am to 5:00pm

The Nurse Manager organizes and directs the administration of care provided by the interdisciplinary team of the Agency's associates with 24-hour responsibility and accountability. The Nurse Manager applies the management concepts of planning, organizing, collaborating, and directing activities to day to day operations of the Agency. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the appropriate utilization of delivery of patient care and overall case management of patients. The Nurse Manager has delegated authority to take immediate and appropriate action in the event of an emergency situation where there is clear and present danger that poses a threat of personal injury, or a threat of damage to property or equipment. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the recruitment, retention, training and continuing education of department associates. The Nurse Manager must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, development, and treatment needs of patients, families, and visitors. The Nurse Manager participates in the oversight of financial performance of the Agency through the monitoring of budget, associate productivity, medication and medical equipment management, and associate utilization. The Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring quality assessment/performance improvement (QAPI) activities, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

Education
  • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing

Experience
  • 2-3 years management experience, 2-3 years Home Care experience

License/Registration/Certifications
  • Valid SC Nursing License
  • Valid driver's license in good standing

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Manages all nursing care given to the patients within the Agency to ensure optimal patient care. Will provide clinical services to patients as needed.
  • Promotes and monitors department safety.
  • Manages departmental products, supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensures maintenance of appropriate documentation.
  • Pursues professional growth through continuing education and in-services.
  • Abides by policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.
  • Exhibits effective leadership and management behaviors.
  • Delivers clear written and verbal communication to associates, patients, and families.
  • Accountable for all phases of staff development including recruitment, orientation, retention, supervision, evaluation, and professional growth.
  • Develops and maintains schedule for associates within area of responsibility
  • Functions as mentor to associates on clinical issues and serves as a positive example to providers, employees, patients and families.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence to practice within the Scope of Care for the Agency.
  • Utilizes quality improvement as basis to improve departmental processes
  • Applies the management concepts of planning, organizing, collaborating, and directing activities to implement the clinical nursing program.
  • Oversees the delivery of treatments as prescribed by an authorized licensed provider.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
