Schedule:Mon-Fri 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
Salary: $93,120 / year
The Nurse Manager-BID provides direct care nursing to residents as well as provides oversight of the medical and clinical operations of medically complex programs. Ensures proper standards and regulations are adhered to as set forth by the funding sources and that programs meet the quality standards and provide value to the public. Assures appropriate utilization of medical resources necessary for the delivery of quality medical care. .

Requirements
Associate degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' nursing experience in acute or chronic care setting. Previous supervisory experience required. Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of nursing practice, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills required. Preference will be given to candidates with significant experience in the human service field.

The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below:
- Assists in the hiring of staff (C.N.A.s, LPNs) appropriate to the position. Utilizes staff appropriately with the goal of optimizing effort and providing necessary medical/nursing care.
- Manages staff clinical performance. In conjunction with the PD, provides direction, training, and coaching; implements recognition and rewards programs; conducts performance planning and review sessions; provides guidance on career development. Responsible for counseling and corrective action programs, as necessary.
- Delegates care assignments with an understanding of staff roles, knowledge, and capabilities.
- Ensures that the intake of prospective persons served is completed in a timely and professional manner; arranges and performs intake procedures, conducts initial assessment of persons' served appropriateness for program.
- Provides ongoing comprehensive assessment, care planning, interventions, and coordination of care for individuals served.
- Provides supervision and direction to program staff regarding medical needs.
- Participates in various internal and external meetings regarding treatment/support planning.
- Provides outreach and creates environments in which family, friends, and established relationships of the person served can be fostered. Communicates with individuals and families in a manner that conveys respect, caring, and sensitivity.
- Provides problem resolution for staff and persons served.
