Job Title: Medical Surgical Nurse Manager (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Nurse Manager (RN) to serve as a clinical leader responsible for the education, operations, and management of the department. This role involves working closely with the Director to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
You will work an evening shift of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, from 2 PM to 10 PM. This is a salary-exempt position. You may need to check out night shifts or weekends as needed for team oversight. The facility is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. The Med Surge department comprises two floors, one medical floor and one orthopedic floor, with 23 beds on each floor and private rooms. Normal staffing ratio is 1:6 or better, including nursing assistants, a unit secretary, and a charge nurse who carries a full load. The department is certified in JAICO, sepsis, and more. The team includes novice nurses, so strong Med Surge experience is needed, with orthopedic experience being a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Nurse Manager (RN) to serve as a clinical leader responsible for the education, operations, and management of the department. This role involves working closely with the Director to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, including staff assignments, coordination of care, resolving issues, and maintaining compliance with standards.
- Assist the Director with new nurse residents, nurse fellowship programs, international nurse education, and competency validation.
- Participate in hiring, orientation, coaching, and annual performance reviews for nursing staff.
- Engage in patient rounding and service recovery to ensure patient satisfaction and quality care.
- Develop relationships with other departments and nursing leadership to ensure consistent care delivery.
- RN required.
- Minimum of three (3) years RN experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year Med/Surg management or supervisory experience.
- MSN or MA in Nursing or enrolled and graduating within 2 years from hire.
- 2-3 years of manager experience preferred.
- Nationally certified RN in clinical specialty preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience as a Med/Surg Educator preferred.
- Clinical educator experience is a plus.
