What will you do as a PMC Nurse Manager

As a PMC Nurse Manager, you will serve as an essential part of the patient's experience by planning, organizing, and coordinating daily operations within an assigned clinic/department to ensure quality patient care in the assigned department. Along with filling in the Registered Nurse role as needed due to staffing issues. This role would support primary care operations in Sanford, along with our Pinehurst North location.

A day in the life of a PMC Nurse Manager may include:
  • Planning, organizing, and supervising nursing duties and providing leadership in complying with governmental, accreditation, and other regulations/requirements and with the policies set forth by Pinehurst Medical Clinic.
  • Assisting in the selection, training, monitoring, and evaluation of the departmental staff.
  • Supervising RN, LPN, CMA, or any other support staff.
  • Working within the scope of license, develop and implement a nursing plan of care for patients. Communicate the plan of care to patients as prescribed by the physician: test results, scheduling of specialized tests and treatment modalities, prescription drug instructions, and other patient education including procedures and/or disease processes.
  • Obtains, reviews, verifies, and/or completes health care forms related to home health care, referrals, medical equipment, and other patient/physician needs as appropriate.
  • Help maintain patient flow and workflow. Work collaboratively as a team member of the clinic staff to provide a high-quality and efficient service to patients and the clinic.
  • Participates in quality improvement team efforts, including meetings to discuss quality assurance improvement initiatives.
  • Assists with assigned special projects or accountabilities when other priorities are identified.
  • Being a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve.


Required Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of clinical/ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
  • Two or more years' experience in a nursing supervisor or manager role preferred.


Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays
Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
