Job Description:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides extraordinary high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. The unit has beds for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. Children are admitted to the intensive care unit, often arriving from various regions.
The Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCU) is a 16-bed unit for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. The unit provides care to patients with moderate to high complexity of disease, such as those recovering from solid organ transplantation, requiring non-invasive mechanical ventilation, titration of anticoagulant therapy, and post-operative specialty surgery care.

Required Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner I:
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience working as an RN in a Pediatric ICU or Pediatric Acute Care setting. Applicants without PICU RN experience will be trained to cover Transitional Care only.
- Master's Degree in Nursing with an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialization.
Nurse Practitioner II:
- Minimum of six (6) months PICU or Pediatric Acute Care NP experience. NPs without PICU experience will be trained to cover Transitional Care only.
