Job Summary:
Geisinger ConvenientCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Mt. Carmel, PA.

Job Duties:

Geisinger ConvenientCare (urgent care) clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services are also provided.

  • $20k recruitment incentive. Lump sum paid upon start. 30-month work obligation with department (not applicable for internal, lateral transfer)
  • Geography Stipend - $7,800 - guaranteed for 1 year after which time the stipend is evaluated for continuance (not applicable for internal, lateral transfer)
  • Attractive scheduleOffice Hours - Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 8:15 pm
    Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am - 6:15 pm
  • 14 rotating shifts/month; work every other weekend
  • No overnight shifts and no mandated additional shifts
  • Call approximately six nights per year
  • Six observed holidays - Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
  • Work autonomously with limited administrative burden

Experience is required - Due to the autonomous nature of the position, advanced practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older and have a minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
