Who we are

Health and Social Services' Community and Primary Care (CPC) Division has a range of clinic settings and programs to meet the health needs of Yukoners. The model of care in CPC enables Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work in a variety of programs that suit their interests and specialties. NPs work as part of five clinics in Whitehorse:

  • Whitehorse Walk-in Clinic - offering same-day treatment for minor illnesses, injuries and medical procedures; and
  • Yukon Healthy Living Program - offering programs and services for Yukoners living with chronic health conditions.
  • Referred Care Clinic - providing primary care for vulnerable adults with complex mental health challenges or substance use disorders.
  • Withdrawal Management Services - providing safe withdrawal support and medications.

All of these clinics function as multi-disciplinary integrated teams, with team members including physicians, registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists, exercise specialists, licensed practical nurses, medical office assistants and other social and allied health professionals.

Immediate needs at the time of this posting include the Whitehorse Walk-in Clinic and the Centre de Sant Constellation Health Centre.
