NURSE PRACTITIONER

Job Title: Advanced Practitioner

Department: Clinical

Reports to: Advanced Practitioner Manager

Location: Albany office with cross-coverage in our Syracuse office.

SUMMARY:

Provides care to patients undergoing evaluation and treatment for infertility. Is accountable for the delivery of competent advanced practitioner care in collaboration with medical, ancillary and administrative staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES:

Plans, evaluates and executes direct patient care. Supports the clinical team in a manner which is consistent with the team concept and reflects the philosophy of Boston IVF. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• initial consultation and follow-up consultation
• prenatal exam
• urgent care assessment
• physical examination
• procedures including hysterosalpingogram, hycosy, EMB, and saline infused sonohystogram
• prescription writing
• laboratory interpretation
• Other duties as assigned by advanced practitioner manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Graduate of accredited University/College
• MSN, PA or advanced degree in related field
• Current NP or PA license for state(s) in which APP provides care to BIVF patients

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Possesses the ability to make independent decisions
• Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with personnel, family members and the general public
• Must be clinically competent in reproductive endocrinology and infertility
