Nursing Supervisor I - MH18: As of January 1, 2025, the new salary range will be $69,027 - $113,896.

Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Supervisor II - Nurse Manager, this position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the resident care and certified nursing assistants of his/her group home on their assigned shift. The position is responsible for making decisions in collaboration with the Nurse Manager on the assigned shift to determine the proper course of action for the unit to function at its best.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

  • Ability to identify and address quality monitoring and performance improvement issues with ability to implement and evaluate effectiveness of care, patient safety, etc.
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and reports.
  • Physical requirements include ability to pass CPR, CPI and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.

**Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus
Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements:
A newly hired permanent full time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week).
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
(1) the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date);
(2) the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency;
(3) or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
