• UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 432 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

The Patient Placement RN Manager collaborates with medical staff, hospital staff, department leadership, and clinical teams to enhance hospital performance through effective planning and resource management. The manager ensures quality patient care and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and hospital care information systems (Epic preferred).
• Registered Nurse with a current Texas license and BLS certification.
• Ability to lead and manage change.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of nursing and healthcare administration principles.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and workforce utilization.
• General financial management knowledge.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in emergency or critical care preferred.
• 1+ years of experience EMS, transfer center, or communications experience preferred.
