Seeking an Oasis and Coding Specialist to join our Oriol Home Health team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented clinician with coding expertise to join Oriol Home Health as an OASIS and Coding Specialist. Pay Rate Range: $36.00 - $42.83/hr

Educational:
  • HCS-D or BCHH-C certification
  • HCS-O, COS-C or COQS certification

Experience:
  • At least 1 year of experience medical coding and OASIS review work experience

Licensure:
  • Active clinical license in nursing (RN) in Massachusetts.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Medicare PDGM billing model and CMS guidelines.

Essential Functions:
  • Review OASIS and document recommended changes in approved system
  • Review ICD-10 coding and sequencing from documentation in the patient chart
  • Complete documentation of results review; ensure workflow processes are timely and accurate
  • Document reason for change and recommended reimbursement impact.
  • Review clinical information and documentation for appropriateness, congruency, and accuracy as it relates to the OASIS and ICD 10 coding while using the Medicare PDGM billing model and CMS guidelines.
  • Review, edit, and approve Plans of Care (POCs) as appropriate on an individualized basis.
  • Review and communicate OASIS edit recommendations to each clinician to promote OASIS accuracy.
  • Perform final review and lock OASIS timepoints.
  • Research and identify documents that will serve as qualifying Face to Face.
  • Review, edit, and approve interim orders.
  • Timely review and coding of all OASIS timepoints with productivity maintained at the quarterly target set by agency leadership.
  • Participate in staff education and training as needed including QAPI/PI.
  • Other duties as assigned.
