Job Summary:
OMC, a rural hospital committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN provider to join our team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to women, including obstetrics and gynecology services, in a rural setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in both obstetric and gynecological care, and a passion for improving the health and well-being of women in a rural community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to women of all ages, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum care, and routine gynecological exams.
  • Manage a full range of obstetric cases, including routine and high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, and postnatal care.
  • Perform gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other procedures as required.
  • Conduct routine gynecological exams, screenings (e.g., Pap smears, breast exams), and preventative care.
  • Provide family planning counseling and services, including contraception and sterilization options.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, family medicine providers, pediatricians, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in the hospital's on-call rotation to provide emergency care and labor and delivery coverage.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system, EPIC.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, preventive care, and wellness strategies related to women's health.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs focused on maternal health, reproductive education, and wellness.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.


Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in Wisconsin.
  • CPR and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain).
  • Experience in managing a full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology cases, including both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Strong surgical skills in gynecological procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a rural, resource-constrained environment.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with rural healthcare challenges and resource limitations.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems. EPIC experience a plus.
  • Interest in community health and outreach programs related to women's health.


Working Conditions:
