Obstetrician/Gynecologists (OB/GYN)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases and provide general care to women.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
• Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
• Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.
• Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health
• Provide inpatient care to include deliveries and surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) having successfully completed an accredited Undergraduate Program, Internship, and Residency Program.

• Must be licensed to practice Medicine in South Carolina. Must be Board-Certified /Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Medicine.
• Must have and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Shall have and maintain a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate and South Carolina Controlled Substance License.
• Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19.
