What You Bring
- Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. with an unrestricted medical license in the state where employed.
- Board certified or eligible by ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or medical board in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
- Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
- BLS and AED Certified; ACLS Certified preferred.
- NRCME Certified (DOT Medical Examiner).
- DEA required.
- Open to mentoring and training if the candidate is new to occupational medicine.
Preferred
- Board-certified in occupational medicine preferred but not required.
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care who have seen work-related injuries.
- Leadership experience and the ability to take on Medical Director responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Serve as Medical Director with oversight of the Redding, CA clinic or function as a Staff Physician depending on experience.
- Evaluate and treat patients with work-related injuries, ensuring timely and effective medical care.
- Perform occupational health exams, including pre-employment, DOT, and fit-for-duty physicals.
- Provide medical guidance on work restrictions and return-to-work plans, collaborating with employers and case managers.
- Utilize a patient-centered approach focused on functional recovery and evidence-based treatment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and specialists.
