Role: OCI DevOps Administrator
Chicago, IL / remote / Hybrid
Job Summary:
The OCI DevOps Architect designs, implements, and maintains scalable cloud infrastructure on OCI, automates provisioning with IaC tools, develops CI/CD pipelines, and ensures security and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design and Implement: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on OCI.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, and others to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline deployment processes. Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/GitHub Action/Jenkins.
Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our infrastructure.
Experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administration
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Security: Implement and enforce security best practices to protect our cloud infrastructure and applications.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve our DevOps tools, processes, and practices.
Required Qualifications
10-12 years' experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g. high-profile internet based applications or enterprise infrastructure) is essential.
5+ years' experience of engineering, architecting, or supporting Oracle IaaS/PaaS solutions.
Experience on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administration required.
Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud platforms.
Automation Tools: Proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and others.
Programming Skills: Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
Hold current Oracle Cloud DevOps Professional Level Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Security: Strong understanding of security best practices and tools in a cloud environment.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $112,500/Year to $132,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
