The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing financial reporting, and leading a team of accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Oversight: Manage and coordinate all accounting functions, including GL management, month-end close processes, deal processing, AR/AP, and other functions across multiple dealership locations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and legal regulations. Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support financial analysis and reporting needs, and provide guidance on accounting-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable but not required.
- Skills: Strong leadership and organizational abilities; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite with Excel expertise; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, management, and both internal and external stakeholders.
