Office Engineer
The Office Engineer(s) shall serve on projects of various sizes and complexities, shall be organized and highly motivated and capable of completing assignments with little to no supervision.
Under the general supervision of the Project Manager, performs support duties of a diverse nature requiring some independent analysis and exercise of judgement in task execution. Work may consist of a variety of duties in support of project administrative requirements.
Responsibilities/Duties Include but Not Limited To:
Record Keeping
Serve as the primary record-keeper for all records, documents, and information relating to or arising out of the Project (the "Records"). Maintain well-organized, indexed, and easily accessible Records. The following is a non-exhaustive list of Records:
A. Design submissions
B. Correspondence
C. Meeting minutes
D. Value engineering
E. Reports
F. Submittals and other deliverables
G. Disputes; and
H. Payments and invoices
Meetings
For all meetings the Office Engineer shall, at a minimum:
A. Actively participate
B. Coordinate with AECOM to schedule the meeting
C. Arrange for meeting rooms, places, or sites
D. Arrange for any equipment, telephones, computers, or related equipment
E. Prepare and distribute agendas, including necessary exhibits, attachments, handouts, and
references.
F. Record meeting minutes in a format and to a level of detail that is acceptable to the
Government, including attaching exhibits, attachments, handouts, and references
G. Promptly distributing meeting minutes; and
H. Promptly update or revise meeting minutes.
Electronic Project Management Information System (PMIS)
The Government client's Program / Project Management Information System (PMIS) is web-accessible and can therefore be accessed via any compatible computer with an Internet connection. Information for requesting an account, accessing the PMIS, and equipment needed is available on gsa.gov (Kahua access).
The Office Engineer shall use the Project Extranet Application (Kahua) throughout the duration of the Project to electronically create, submit, deliver, transmit, send, store, organize, gather, and collocate all documents, records, and information relating to the Program / Project.
The Office Engineer shall use Kahua for all project management processes (e.g., collaboration, project controls, estimating, change/issues management, specifications, CAD Intelligence, facilities management, RFIs, submittals, deliverables, document management, meeting minutes, reports/reporting, communication, etc.). The Office Engineer shall use the application on a regular, routine basis throughout the duration of the Project. The Office Engineer shall use this technology to reduce administrative and overhead costs, eliminate redundancies, institute a communication tool to reduce non-value-added activities, and to ensure better accountability among all project team members.

- maintain project information in project management system
- maintain the PMIS for the entire program under the contract. The work involves independent review and updates to the system which the entire team will use in managing their projects.
- maintain the government badging database including updating the contractor badging process to make sure all milestones are completed and ready for badging approvals.
- perform independent project inspections or assessments of new and ongoing work and provide daily reports.
- perform field measurements, takeoffs, and estimates in support of IGCEs.
- create subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders and their respective attachments as well as generating transmittals per Manager's request for plans and specifications and pay requests
- general administrative duties such as but not limited to; filing, photocopying, taking and distributing meeting minutes, managing schedules, scheduling appointments with internal and external parties, ordering supplies, sorting and distributing correspondence and maintaining database records.

Job Requirements
Education/Qualifications
Required basic qualifications include:
- Minimum 1 years Office Engineering experience in the A/E/C industry
- Knowledge in construction and contract administration
- Knowledgeable in various forms of contracts
- Experience with Kahua
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, with 30 Hour OSHA Safety Certification
- USACE CQM certification preferred
- CMIT certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and general basic knowledge of and ability to learn project management software and other related programs and systems.
Physical Demands & Environment
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
