The Department of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital of the University ofIllinois is home to >120 faculty, 39 Pediatric Residents, 16Med/Peds Residents, 14 Fellows, and a growing, nationally ranked pediatricresearch program. Each year, our faculty receive more than $10 million inresearch grants. The Children's Hospital of the University of Illinois scoredin > 6 specialties for three years in the US News and World ReportSurvey. The Partnership for Pediatric Care encompassing the inpatientunits at Children's Hospital of the University of Illinois (CHUI) and CookCounty Health includes more than 110 beds (16 pediatric intensive care, 24step-down, and 70 neonatal intensive care unit). Designations include Level IIINICU, PCCC (critical care), EDAP (emergency room), and Burn and Trauma (CCH).The Partnership for Pediatric Care provides convenient access to outpatientservices at more than 30 locations including Mile Square Federally QualifiedHealth Centers and Cook County Health clinics. About the Section of NeonatologyThe Section of Neonatology covers a 46 bed NICU and a Step-Down Special CareNursery System. This is a busy medical/surgical unit with multiple pediatricsub-specialists available.

TheDepartment of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Hospitalists to join ourteam. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.

Primary responsibility is in in patient care service, teaching, scholarlyactivity, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Proportion ofresponsibilities will be dependent on applicant's interests, experience, andexpertise.

This position includes patient care services during days, nights, weekends, andoccasional holidays.

MD or DO fromaccredited medical school or foreign equivalent medical degree.
UnrestrictedIllinois license to practice medicine or Illinois license eligible.
Boardcertification/eligibility in Pediatrics is required.
