Salary: The salary range for the position is $213,272 to $231,987at the Assistant Professor level and $255,633 to $285,383 at the AssociateProfessor level. Salary is competitive and commensurate withqualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

The Department ofPediatrics provides comprehensive family-centered health care to allchildren, multi-level professional education to students, physicians, andallied health care workers in all aspects of pediatrics, and a voice ofadvocacy for children of the state of Illinois. We are also actively engaged inthe community to improve the health status of children through preventative andeducational efforts, and to lead with basic and clinical research intochildhood diseases to move the field of pediatrics forward. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology provides a full range of diagnostic andtreatment services for children with gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Theseinclude inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn's disease, abdominal pain,constipation, diarrhea, difficulty feeding or gaining weight, jaundice andliver problems. We understand that these conditions can be tough for childrento deal with. Our team works with children and their families to address boththeir physical and emotional health. In addition to a broad range of diagnosticand therapeutic services, we offer specialized care for children who havechallenges gaining weight and may require supplemental feeding tubes. Ourfaculty have further expertise in IBD, celiac disease, and food allergicdisorders including eosinophilic esophagitis.

Job Summary

TheDivision of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Department of Pediatrics at theUniversity of Illinois Chicago is seeking to fill an Open Rank Faculty(Pediatric Gastroenterologist) position. Rank/Tenure will be commensuratewith experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

Primaryresponsibility is in Pediatric Gastroenterology clinical service, teaching,scholarly activity, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Proportion of responsibilities will be dependent on applicant's interests,experience, and expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent terminal medical degree.
Unrestricted Illinois license to practice medicine or Illinois license eligible.
Board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatrics is required.
