AdventHealth Daytona Beach includes a 293-bed main hospital in Daytona Beach, as well as outpatient facilities located at the Pavilion at Port Orange and the New Smyrna Health Park.

More than 400 physicians hold privileges to practice at our facilities, and we employ more than 1,700 care team members. The role you ll contribute :

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. OR registered nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and re-evaluating the needs, treatment and care of the age appropriate patient within the OR suite. The nurse adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all the rules and regulations applicable to local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

T he value youll bring to the team:

Implements the Surgical plan of care by: protecting the patient from injury caused by chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources and extraneous objects, performing accounting procedures to protect the patient from unintended retained surgical items, performing interventions necessary to ensure that the patients procedure is performed on the correct site, side, and level, managing the patients specimens in the appropriate manner, communicating the patients current status to the appropriate parties throughout the continuum of care, administering medications safely and correctly, etc.

Maintains liaison with Registration, Laboratory, Pre-op Holding, Volunteer Desk, Ambulatory Services, Endoscopy, PACU and Anesthesia Department for safe patient care.
