The Operational Excellence Lead within the CoSO will be responsible for managing budgets and contracts within GCA, providing ad-hoc analyses and coordinating GCA-wide events and meetings. This role reports directly to CoS based in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in budget and contract management and exhibit proficiency in meeting and event coordination. Additionally, the individual should be adept at navigating ambiguous environments with a mindset focused on continuous improvement.

How you will contribute:
  • Collaborate with teams in GCA to manage their budgets and contracts, including POs, SOWs, accrual process, while ensuring accurate budget tracking
  • Design and distribute monthly spending reports and analyze any discrepancies in planned spend vs. actual spending
  • Support budget review cycles in collaboration with Finance partner, GCA budget owners, and a CoSO member in Tokyo
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis requests in collaboration with teams within GCA
  • Identify and suggest improvements on current operational processes
  • Coordinate and plan GCA-wide meetings and events along with updating the GCA annual calendar
  • Manage team meeting schedules, CoS schedule and travel arrangements
  • Support CoS with additional tasks as needed


Skills
  • Broad understanding of Takeda organization with 5+ years of experience, ideally in a multicultural and global setting
  • Proven track in budget and contract management and strategic support experience in a corporate environment, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with growth mindset, adaptability and curiosity
  • Ability to work in a self-guided manner and manage multiple priorities with demanding timelines
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, credibility, and dedication to Takeda's values and purpose
  • Flexibility and a willingness to take on a variety of assignments
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment, with minimal supervision, strong personal drive and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and geographies
  • Openness to provide and receive feedback for improvements
  • Bachelor's degree

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$111,800.00 - $175,670.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives.
