Your Opportunity: Drive Operational Excellence

As our Operations Manager for Finishing and Machining, you will be pivotal in driving operational performance. You'll lead our production departments' planning, organization, and direction, ensuring efficiency and quality in every process. This role demands a leader with specific experience in CNC Machining operations and automation implementation. The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $136,000.

  • Operational Impact: You'll be at the forefront of continuous improvement, spearheading initiatives that boost productivity and project success. You'll optimize throughput in Machining and Finishing, developing and executing production plans that align with company goals.
  • Agile Development: Your ideas will shape our future. You'll implement process improvements, troubleshoot challenges, and provide essential leadership and training to your team. You'll collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve system malfunctions.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: You can investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, and collaborate with maintenance to implement timely solutions.
  • Analytical Acumen: You can evaluate operational performance, human resources, and departmental effectiveness through data-driven analysis.
  • Experience & Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, along with 5+ years of machining experience, 5+ years of strong leadership experience, and experience implementing and utilizing automation.
  • Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication and interaction skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, which allow you to collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors. Your work and communication demonstrate our core values.
  • Conditions of Employment: You must pass a pre-employment assessment, drug screen, and background check and comply with our organizational and departmental policies.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Operational Excellence: Implementing lean practices, maximizing throughput, driving continuous improvement, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery goals, and optimizing equipment.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Collaborating on staffing, overseeing cross-training, leading direct reports, and managing performance.
  • Process & Equipment Management: Developing production plans, overseeing production, investigating equipment issues, managing equipment, and utilizing systems.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborating with engineers, participating in design reviews, attending meetings, providing suggestions, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Safety & Compliance: Exemplifying MPS values, championing a safe environment, and maintaining attendance.
