JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager will manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. This role will ensure safe and efficient operations. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant
Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the Lab
Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
Oversee materials and inventory
Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent ability to address operational concerns and issues, monitoring overall customer satisfaction
Understanding of operational procedures and policies development and implementation
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities
Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
Ability to analyze training needs/requirements
Ability to communicate with others effectively
Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, technical management, information systems, engineering, finance/accounting, or related fields
5 or more years of proven success in an operations management role

General office or test lab environment with exposure to sudden, loud noises
