Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team. This key role will focus on internal staffing understanding project needs, and forecasting future project team demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, or Construction) industry, with a deep understanding of project management and staffing dynamics.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee internal staffing processes, ensuring that projects are appropriately staffed with qualified team members.
- Collaborate with Principals, Project Managers, and other staff members to understand project requirements and staffing needs.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of billable hours and project budgets, ensuring that staffing decisions align with project goals and financial targets.
- Act as a liaison between project teams and management, communicating staffing needs and project updates as needed.
- Monitor project progress and staffing allocations, making adjustments as necessary to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices related to project management and staffing, incorporating new insights into our processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in related AEC industry preferred or business administration, management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture or related fields, with a focus on project management and staffing.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and practices, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of healthcare design principles and regulations is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and other relevant tools.
