Facility Operations Manager Job Duties:
- Ability to create a strategic vision for the distribution center that works in tandem with PBD business goals and objects.
- Orchestrates tactical responsibilities for staff that align with vision created for PBD.
- Oversee and accountable for all aspects of a fast-paced automated distribution center.
- Managed the day-to-day operations and physical conditions of the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Evaluates and maintains facility budget, always looking for cost savings opportunities and process improvement.
- Communicates effectively and rallies employees to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Encourages a work environment that Strives for Exceptional Service Every Time.
- Mentors, hires, trains and reviews employees with PBD cultures and daily job responsibilities front of mind and always working closely with Human Resources.
- Ensure proper attention is given to any repair or maintenance of buildings and facility grounds.
- Keep safety front of mind in all aspects of the business, ensuring equipment are always in proper working condition.
- Directs the implementation of safe operating practices in compliance with Company and regulatory policies (forklift operations, OSHA compliance, etc.).
- Manages supply chain responsibilities, SOPS, forecasting, planning, order management and labor efficiently.
- Owns the Distribution Center P&L and drives positive financial results. Always looking for cost savings opportunities and process improvement
- Creates positive relationships with fulfillment partners, carriers and third-party providers, as well as internal partners.
- Performs special projects as needed and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven (7) years of leadership experience in a distribution, industrial or military environment Direct experience working in a growing fulfilment center is an advantage.
- Must be capable of working safely and continuously promoting safe work practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or higher preferred
- Experience with a WMS
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
- Demonstrate a level of understanding third-party logistics and distribution.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities.
