Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
- Operations Management:
- Ensure compliance with applicable publications and security standards.
- Serve as the Program Security Officer (PSO) and subject matter expert for special security and special access program support in SCIF/SAPF environments.
- Monitor access and compliance with physical and administrative security requirements.
- Security Coordination:
- Coordinate with the OUSD(I&S) Special Access Program Central Office, Special Security Office, Joint Staff, and Military Services security offices for guidance and resolution of security issues.
- Manage personnel clearance verifications, visit requests, and provide security briefings.
- Access Management:
- Initiate and coordinate Program Access Requests (PARS) and facilitate Alternate Compensatory Control Measure (ACCM) accesses.
- Update and maintain classified access management systems of record.
- Facility Coordination:
- Coordinate facility, equipment, communications, and IT needs specific to SCIF/SAPF requirements.
- Assist in developing and executing policies for safeguarding SAP, SCI, and collateral data.
- Incident Management:
- Identify and mitigate security incidents, developing response measures for government leadership.
- Identify and report vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to operational activities.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Review, monitor, and report the status of action items, activities, and products using CATMS and JSAP systems.
- Facilitate the preparation for and assistance during required security inspections.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a defense or intelligence environment.
- Experience in managing security operations and special access programs.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-stakes environment.
- Proficiency in managing classified information and understanding of security protocols.
