PVM is actively seeking an Operations Domain Engineer located in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and operational support to Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Joint Staff operations. You will support operational planning, data management, and mission command systems while ensuring seamless integration of tactical data and Common Operational Picture (COP) management within the operational environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support for SOF and Joint Staff operations, including knowledge of targeting cycles, Tactical Data Links (TDLs), and routing of COP data.
  • Support and teach all SOCOM and Joint Staff programs of record for COP management, Operational Area of Interest (OAI) management, and Commander Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) management.
  • Assist in the implementation and utilization of software programs that support operational requirements at unit levels.
  • Work closely with assigned units to understand specific operational needs and report capability gaps to SOCOM regarding software and technology.
  • Collaborate with Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs) and Joint Task Forces to ensure synchronization of efforts and alignment with command relationships.
  • Attend and maintain situational awareness on Area of Responsibility (AoR)-level working groups related to Mission Command and Command and Control (C2), including COP Working Groups, Joint Fires Working Groups, Sustainment, Protection, and Tactical Data Link (TADL) Working Groups.
  • Provide recommendations for improving operational processes and mission command capabilities through the integration of emerging technologies.
  • Assist in the assessment and development of operational strategies, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and command directives.
  • Support testing and evaluation of new and existing operational software and technologies to enhance SOF operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver briefings, reports, and documentation that effectively communicate technical solutions, operational assessments, and mission enhancements to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • 8+yrs experience in technical support position and Operational or Intelligence Community (IC) operations, platforms, functions, and terminology experience.
  • 8+yrs experience in implementing and training software system/updates, standard operating procedures and technical documentation.

Tools:
  • Proficiency in mission command and C2 software used within SOCOM and Joint operations.
  • Experience with Tactical Data Links (TDLs) and data integration systems.
  • Familiarity with software tools and platforms supporting COP management and operational data analytics.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies relevant to SOF operational capabilities, including AI/ML applications for mission command enhancements.
