The Operations department at TelevisaUnivision is looking for an Operations Technician II to join our team!
The Operations Technician II will be tasked with operating in various job capacities and must possess the ability to transition seamlessly in the following areas: Directing and Technical Directing for News product; Master Control operations for two Bay Area television stations. Other desirable skills are: ability to operate Automated switcher, robotic cameras, iNews edit on non-linear systems such as Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere CC, have working knowledge of ENG equipment.

You possess an impeccable ability to make quick decisions based on circumstances of a Live Newscast and Field production. You must be comfortable wearing many hats in a television news production control room, pre-production and editing and signal processing. You have a keen eye for television aesthetics, lighting, motion and take pride in your work. You are highly motivated with leadership ability and a positive attitude.

Salary Range $73,000- $88,000 + benefits

YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Quality control of Master Control automation and commercial processing systems.
- Coordination of multiple ENG receive sites and field crews - reception, processing, and transmission of various feeds for News and other Departments.
- Backup Director/Technical Director using both Production Automation and punch/call (Upgraded pay based on duties).
- Edit all material for the daily shows in an accurate manner and maintain the video archive.
- Work collaboratively with the Editorial and Technical Teams to ensure a positive workflow.
- Operate ENG equipment for news gathering.
- Work effectively well under pressure to meet deadlines, and work with/for colleagues toward a common goal while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
- Have the ability to work a varied schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
YOU HAVE:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Television or Cable TV news production/control room operations.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Technical Director/Editor in a small to major market.
- Ability to understand electronic signal flow and general broadcast standards.
- Strong competency both in English and Spanish.
- Ability to seamlessly transition between varying job responsibilities.
- Ross Overdrive experience is preferred.
- Detail oriented, organized, disciplined, can manage multiple tasks/responsibilities in working with a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to (8) hours.
