We are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Analyst to support application development and provide ongoing database management for NYS Government projects. This role involves close collaboration with system architects and developers to ensure optimal database design, performance, and security. The successful candidate will have expertise in Oracle databases (versions 8i to 12c), SQL performance tuning, and managing day-to-day database operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases in support of various applications.
• Perform SQL query optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and database views.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application integration and database management.
• Handle database backup, recovery, and security tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in application development and database design.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database (8i through 12c) and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience with shell scripting for backup processes like RMAN.
• Strong skills in database replication, troubleshooting, and security management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
