Description:
Position: Oracle Hyperion Planning Administrator
Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure, and maintain the Oracle Hyperion Planning application and related components.
2. Design and build Hyperion Planning applications according to business requirements, including setting up dimensions, hierarchies, data forms, business rules, and calculations.
3. Manage the Hyperion Planning application lifecycle, including application deployment, migration, and upgrades.
4. Configure security settings, user roles, and access controls within Hyperion Planning to ensure proper data access and segregation.
5. Develop and maintain Hyperion Planning reports and analytics using built-in reporting tools or integrating with other reporting solutions like Oracle Business Intelligence (BI).
6. Perform data management tasks, such as data loads, extracts, and integrations with source systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, Oracle HFM).
7. Provide training and support to end-users on Hyperion Planning functionality, best practices, and application usage.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Hyperion Planning performance, data integrity, and application errors.
9. Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and implement optimization strategies as necessary.
10. Collaborate with business users, finance teams, and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment between Hyperion Planning and overall business requirements.
11. Stay up-to-date with the latest Hyperion Planning releases, patches, and best practices.
12. Document Hyperion Planning configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge transfer and compliance purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning, including application design, configuration, and administration.
2. Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
3. Proficiency in Essbase Calc Scripts, MaxL scripting, and Hyperion Planning administration tools.
4. Knowledge of Oracle Essbase, Oracle Relational Access Manager (ARAM), and related Hyperion components.
5. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and database management systems.
6. Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) tools for reporting and analytics is a plus.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
8. Excellent communication and documentation skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
11. Oracle Certification(s) in Hyperion Planning or related products are highly preferred.
