Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Specialty: Acute Care Occupational Therapy
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, either 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Submission of a valid license is required
Certifications: BLS, Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) via NBCOT
Must-Have:
- Experience in acute care
- Familiarity with Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR Core EMR 2010
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services in an acute care setting.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Assist patients in improving their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and establish treatment goals.
- Document patient progress accurately using the EpicCare EMR system.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued improvement.
- Adhere to the cancellation policy of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
- Participate in a 12-hour orientation to familiarize with the facility's protocols and procedures.
