OT (Operational Technology) Senior Analyst
The OT (Operational Technology) Senior Analyst, Global Information Security (GIS) will have the primary responsibility to support the OT Security Manager in the security of Crane NXT's manufacturing environments and the use of operational technology at Crane NXT. You will provide incident response in these important areas of the business. You will work closely with the OT Security Manager, plant and facilities leaders, process engineers, and our global supply chain teams to ensure OT security requirements and delivered, maintained, and managed.
This role will support defining and developing all related supporting processes and procedures in the security of Crane NXT's OT environment based on the OT Security Manager's direction. You will work closely with other GIS functional areas, supporting security engineering, administration, operations, and incident response.
As part of a growing team with global responsibilities, the ideal candidate for this position will be driven, detail oriented, hands-on, and proactive. We are looking for you to be a subject matter expert in the hardening and defense of OT, and OT network logging/monitoring. With partnership of the OT teams, you will support the implementation of the configuration, deployment, and use of OT security solutions, and related processes.
In this role, the successful candidate will work closely within the GIS team and the business units to help align security goals with those of the broader organization. You will be crucial in the support of delivering a holistic approach to securing Crane NXT's OT environments and responding to threats against OT and manufacturing for a global organization with diverse and interesting lines of business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct gap assessments and perform risk analysis for OT environments
Support roadmaps and develop project plans for the OT security strategy
Support the OT Security Manager's design of OT security controls for architectures, systems, and networks
Support the identification and implementation of security technologies to identify threats and defense of OT systems
Work directly with the OT Security Manager, plant leaders, process engineers and support/system vendors to ensure OT security controls
Support OT security policies and standard procedures
Review and prioritize OT security threats for action to respond and protect the OT environments
Ensure threats are reviewed and appropriately responded to support the safety and security of OT systems
Assist in the identification, response, investigation, and remediation of IT security events and incidents as needed
Utilize security best practices in all approaches and methodologies.
Assist in the evaluation, planning, configuration, and implementation of broader GIS Team initiatives.
Qualifications and Competencies:
5 years' experience with securing and conducting incident response in Operational Technology environments
3 years' experience working with Operational Technology Security Logging & Monitoring solutions such as Nozomi, Dragos, ClarOTy, Tenable.OT, eyeInspect
Understanding and prior experience with the application of securing OT and related systems
Current technical understanding of common OT systems such as PCS, SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs
Solid foundation and foundation in related cybersecurity domains such as network security, EDR, anomaly detection
Understanding of common OT communications protocols such as Ethernet, MODBUS, DNP3, S7
Comfortable with assisting with the implementation of secure OT architectures
Ability to prioritize, schedule and track to deadlines individual work and the work of others
Commitment to security training and earning corresponding certifications
Highly motivated with passion for solving complex problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with presenting to business leaders
Comfortable with project management & delivery, working to deadlines, and holding self accountable
Flexibility to work outside regularly scheduled/normal business hours as required
Ability and desire to travel both domestically and internationally
Required: Degree in a related field or at least 7 years relevant professional experience
Required: Mobility and ability to be on your feet for long periods in a manufacturing setting
Required: Demonstrable expertise in related Cyber Security Frameworks such as NIST CSF or ISO 27001
