POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outpatient Pharmacy Manager will lead, direct, and provide oversight to a team of pharmacy technician and pharmacist. As the pharmacy manager you will be responsible for all aspects of pharmacy including patient safety, quality assurance, regulatory management, prescription workflow and inventory and personnel management. The pharmacy manager will develop and oversee clinical pharmacy programs. As the leader, you are model our company values and ensure the follow-through of the team.

The Outpatient Pharmacy Manager will lead, direct, and provide oversight to a team of pharmacy technician and pharmacist. As the pharmacy manager you will be responsible for all aspects of pharmacy including patient safety, quality assurance, regulatory management, prescription workflow and inventory and personnel management. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for fulfilling Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) requirements, upholding the board of pharmacy, state, and federal law, ensuring all pharmacy personnel complies with all requirements of federal, state and local pharmacy and drug laws, rules, and regulations and providing direction and supervision of, pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
- Ensure the pharmacy operations are in compliance with state licensure requirements as mandated by state legislation and the Board of Pharmacy following all Good Faith Efforts concerning dispensing.
- Welcome patients and offer assistance with products and services.
- Model a positive patient experience by resolving patient complaints, helps respond to patient requests in a timely manner, and answers questions while ensuring the success of the team
- Counsel patients and address questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, and patient information privacy.
- Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management. Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
- Accountable for safe medication storage, diversion monitoring and other key pharmacy inventory activities
- Supervises the pharmacy operations, manage record-keeping and auditing, inventory, pharmacy maintenance
- Partners with HR to hire staff, recommend promotion and performance management decisions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in IL.
- Certified Immunizer.
- At least five (5) years of pharmacy experience (prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing).
- Three (3) years of pharmacy leadership and management experience in a manager or assistant director level preferred.
