Job Description Summary:

This position works primarily out of Doctors Hospital.
M-F, no call
This is an Outpatient Central Ohio position. This Psychologist functions within the Behavioral Health outpatient team and provides direct services to patients, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapy techniques as well as performs psychological testing/evaluation. The individual in this position provides consultation regarding psychological and behavioral health needs of patients and can also work with patients' family members. The Psychologist may provide psychotherapy to specialized patient populations such as those with functional neurological disorders (FND), potentially including PNES (psychogenic non-epileptic seizures) and FMD (functional movement disorders). The Psychologist may be asked to provide educational presentations (to patient/family groups, psychiatry residents, other clinicians, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate: PsychologyLP - Licensed Psychologist - American Board of Clinical PsychologyAmerican Board of Clinical PsychologyAmerican Board of Clinical Psychology
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and therapy skills.
  • Understanding of psychiatric needs and psychotropic interventions as well as functional neurological disorders.
  • Competency and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and other intervention techniques.
