Job Description Overview This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. V2X's National Security Solutions (NSS) has an immediate opportunity for a Farsi Linguist / Publicly Available Information (PAI) Analyst. This position will be based at our customer site at Suitland, Maryland. Responsibilities Major Job Activities: As a Farsi Linguist / Publicly Available Information (PAI) Analyst, you will provide Farsi language translations and analysis regarding counterproliferation in the Middle East. The analyst will support our U.S. Navy customer along with a team of all source analysts and linguists using advanced tools and techniques to exploit PAI and integrate with classified data to produce high-quality analytic intelligence products. Specific responsibilities will include: Conduct Farsi language translations and first line analysis from both publicly available/open source intelligence resources and classified sources using advanced analytic tools, methodologies, and tradecraft Conduct OSINT tool and tradecraft training as required, spanning anywhere from 1 hour to three days in duration
Conduct research on vessels of interest using various resources and apply information to briefings, RFIs, and finished intelligence products
Support the development of new collection capabilities and analytic products/projects Attend and facilitate meetings (including classified), prepare agendas, track action items, and distribute minutes Material & Equipment Directly Used: Workstations on classified and unclassified networks; MS Windows OS; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook), MS Teams, Managed Attribution system/program, Adobe and additional software provided by the Government. Working Environment: The Farsi Linguist / Publicly Available Information (PAI) Analyst will perform work at a Government facility in an office environment at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) or other Government-approved locations. Physical Activities: Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education / Certifications: Must have and maintain Farsi language proficiency of 3L/3R on the DLPT or ILR scale and must be current within the last three years
Bachelor's Degree in National Security, Regional Studies, or relevant technical academic (desired)
OR
High School Degree with 5-years of experience in a similar position Experience / Skills: Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and translate military-related lexicon in the target language.
Demonstrated experience using managed attribution systems/programs to perform safe open source research while applying Open Source Tradecraft
Minimum 5 years of experience of prior military and/or interagency all source intelligence experience
Minimum 5 years of experience performing open source/PAI research OR social media research and exploitation Minimum 3 years of experience performing quality control of Farsi language translations
Minimum 5 years of experience producing all source intelligence products in accordance with IC directives and classification guidelines
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting network targeting through research and analysis
Familiarity performing network/link/nodal or target analysis
Demonstrated experience using all source tools, programs, or databases such as DataExplorer, Cultweave, Voltron, Multi-Media Message Monitor (M3), Analyst's Notebook/Renoir/Palantir/IntelBook or other link/network analysis programs, Quantum Leap Intelligence Exchange (QLIX), Terrorist Identities Database Environment (TIDE), Tripwire Analytical Capability (TAC), database/repositories for financial analysis Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Demonstrated proficiency in effective communications (writing, speaking, briefing) Highly Desired Experience:
