Vancouver Costal Health is recruiting Palliative Care Physician(s) for the Vancouver General Hospital Palliative Care Program.
Vancouver General Hospital is a 1000 bed quaternary teaching hospital associated with the University of British Columbia. The hospital supports several provincial programs including Leukemia Bone Marrow Transplant, Solid Organ Transplants (Liver/Lung) Surgical Oncology, and Renal.
We are seeking qualified palliative care physicians to join our program which comprises of a 9-bed tertiary Palliative Care Unit (PCU) and a Consult Service. Current opportunities are for part time (as block-based weeks) or full-time work on the consult service.

- Provide specialist consultation to generalists and specialists within the hospital
- Work within the intradisciplinary teams
Qualifications
Education, Licensing, & Experience:
- Full Licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia
- Certificate of Added Competence in Palliative Care, or an equivalent designation, or
- Fellowship in the Royal College of Specialists in Palliative Medicine
Knowledge & Abilities:
- Strong palliative and primary care clinical skills
- Good communication skills
